HerLocal was founded by two female architects who have both relocated internationally — and experienced firsthand how disorienting, lonely, and unnecessarily hard it can be.

One of us moved from Berlin to Amsterdam for work. The other moved countries with a partner, returned home, and later relocated again — alone — to rebuild her life.

We bring a different lens to relocation: trained architects who understand housing quality, neighbourhood character, spatial experience, and what it takes to turn a new place into a home. That dual expertise — relocation plus design — is what makes HerLocal unlike anything else on the market.
